Back from her Edfringe run
Based in Amsterdam, Lauren is a performer, playwright, and producer. She has 30 years of experience in both America and in Europe in theatre, musicals, storytelling, improvisational comedy, and burlesque. She’s performed across the Netherlands and in Edinburgh Fringe Festival to a full-house run and 4-star review.
Most recently, she produced a show for the International Documentary Film Festival that uses AI and smartphone technology to tell the story of our ancestors through the generations (let’s make AI babies!) And she, alongside her co-writer, Phillip Melchers, just completed a sold-out run of “Always Aphrodite” - a show they took to Edinburgh Fringe Festival - in partnership with The Cauldron Performing Arts.
She aims to produce shows that challenge traditional narratives and blend different artistic mediums.
What I'm working on
I just completed Always Aphrodite, where we aim to tour outside the Netherlands. I’m currently working on a new variety show in Amsterdam: Trash Tarot, Presents. Reach out if you want to know more about this work or others!
